Richard Field has been at the helm of Post Glover Resistors, an Italian-owned company headquartered on Cox Ave in Northern Kentucky, for almost 9 years. He describes Post Glover Resistors, a company which manufactures power resistors and isolation equipment for medical facilities, simply put, as “basically a safety company.” Their power resistors, for the laymen, are used to stop motors quickly. And their isolation equipment is used in labs to keep oxygen and electricity separate.
Richard’s biggest strength, he says when probed, is his understanding of both the technical side of the business (he is an engineer by trade), as well as the business side of the business (he has an MBA in Business & Marketing). He has worked in various areas of the company, which allows him to understand all of its many aspects. The company’s biggest challenge, he says, is finding qualified entry-level employees that are interested in working in manufacturing. In 2014, Richard will focus on a growth strategy comprised of acquisitions, plus the addition of new product lines, which he hopes will result in organic growth for the company
Richard has 3 kids, ranging from 19 years old to 15 years old, and enjoys attending Covington Catholic basketball games with them in his spare time, as well as unwinding over a basketball game with friends a couple times a week.
